COURAGE IS THE CHANGE is a living, evolving archive that celebrates individuals who have challenged cultural norms, reimagined heritage, made history, and demonstrated profound connections to personal values, passion, and love—contributing and shaping the zeitgeist.

Jennifer Finch Presents a curated archive honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to culture, art, and society despite facing adversity. This collection serves as a celebration of resilience, creativity, and the transformative power of perseverance, shining a spotlight on the stories, works, and impact of those who have defied challenges to shape and influence the cultural landscape.

Central to CITC’s mission is commemorating these extraordinary individuals on their birthdays.

By encouraging others to celebrate their lives, achievements, and unique contributions, CITC transforms these days into opportunities for collective inspiration and curiosity. By sharing images, accomplishments, and stories, we honor their personhood and legacy while being guided by them. CITC primarily recognizes those often considered outsiders—visionaries whose courage and innovation have redefined progress and challenged convention.

In the last few years, I noticed people around me growing increasingly anxious about the state of the world. I understand—when it feels like so much is lost, it’s hard to know where to start in addressing the system.

The best I could do was ask, ‘Have you heard how this artist or writer or how that changemaker faced adversity?’ I wanted a way to share the stories of people who inspire me, challenge me, or make me think. —a desire to celebrate courage and resilience, and to remind ourselves that we don’t always have to reinvent the wheel, we are not alone.

Others, too, shared stories of people I might never have had the chance to learn about. So many answers lie in the stories of those who have already walked these paths.

That’s how Courage Is The Change was born.

At the heart of this initiative is a vibrant community, curating and sharing images, memes, and animations that commemorate these trailblazers. The archive serves as a dynamic and inclusive source of inspiration, hosted on a dedicated website and shared across diverse media platforms.

VISION FOR GROWTH:
By 2027, CITC plans to expand its mission by creating endowments to support future generations through direct donations, fundraising events, and product sales. (Maybe YOU can help us with that?). In the interim, the focus remains steadfast on building and maintaining the archive as a resource for education, inspiration, and community engagement.
